From 1998 through 2008, in a parallel phase one of our research efforts, one of the three laboratories was least known, the Los Gatos Materials Sciences Lab (not the lab pictured above, but producing the unique state of atoms required to explore via machine shown in the linked article above). All three institutes produced extraordinary results and recommended paths of experimentation.
Here are a selection of papers from that research program, exploring how various metals behave when dissolved into single atom states; they have extraordinary properties including superdeformed high spin states, and anomalous inertial mass reaction measurements.
Speculations on the utility of such 'monatoms' for very high temperature superconductivity in structured ceramics, and the possibility of asymmetrical shielding and/or projecting unique EM field morphologies via advanced materials utilizing this new potentially new phase of matter:
